How to install Blogger templates?

To those of you new to the field of Blogging, I am pretty sure that you want to know more about blogger blog and its features. Blogger blogs have their confined in-built templates running by default. Blogger supports Classic and Dynamic Views. There are some in-built blogger templates in both the classic and dynamic views. I reckon you know how to use the dynamic views and the other classic view templates in your blog. So now that you want to know about blogger templates, its time to learn and install it in your blog. The process is simple, not as you expect it to be complex.

Here are the steps to follow for installing a Blogger Template.

1. There are various websites out there that provide you free downloads of blogger templates. You can download your template from btemplates.com. Make sure you google search for blogger templates.

2. After you download the file you think that fits your blog, unzip it. You will find an XML File in it. That is your template file. All the blogger templates comes in XML Formats.

3. Now GOTO your blog Dashboard->Template. Click on Backup/Restore Option. This is to take a Backup of your old blog template. No wonder it is in XML Format too.

 4. Now upload the XML file that you have unzipped earlier. That's it. Your blog is dressed up with a new blogger template.

Now, if you want to install any widgets or any API Plug-ins, just copy the widget code and goto the Template->Edit HTML. Insert the code where you want to have it in your blog.

This way, you won't be having the blogger navigation bar on the top of your blog. The Navigation bar is just only a plug-in that comes with in-built blogger blogs.
